Chemical Injection Systems are typically installed upstream of the choke manifold and are used to inject methanol or glycol into the process fluid to inhibit hydrate formation caused by pressure reduction.
Through chemical injection, the risk of hydrate icing can be effectively reduced, improving the operational reliability of surface well-testing systems and expanding the allowable pressure drop range upstream and downstream of the choke. This ensures continuous and stable operation of oil and gas wells.
In addition to hydrate inhibition, chemical injection systems can be used for the dosing of a wide range of process chemicals, including corrosion inhibitors, anticorrosion agents, tracers (dyes), oxygen scavengers, as well as drilling fluid additives (such as caustic soda and liquid polymers) and defoamers.
These systems are widely applied to meet chemical treatment requirements throughout oil and gas production, well testing, and maintenance operations.
